!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Not sure why they’re calling these ailerons; they don’t work independently of each other and only deflect upward. They’re really spoilers.

I’ll be interested when they start adding ruddervators.

Yeah, but what about the center of lift? ;)

That might actually be helpful in getting around a track faster(?)

Negative lift!
Speaking of negative lift, i n my research today, I came across the crash landing scene from Flight starring Denzel Washington. I had never seen it before. I’ve really got to wonder if it is even possible to fly an MD-80 (or whatever it was) inverted. Makes for an exciting scene, though.

Hmm, I’m not sure if the MD-80 can fly inverted, but I could hazard a guess...

Do they actually help the car roll on the longitudinal axis? If not, then I don’t think they qualify as ailerons.

Except that picture is upside down.

We can debate that all day, but there can be no argument on whether or not the Dash 80 is upside down :)

you might be on to something... quick, file a fair use patent in all our names! We could be rich! You could use this as a patent sketch:
